PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Project Manager for the User Assistance team at SAP SuccessFactors/HCM Cloud is responsible for the overall management of product documentation and user assistance projects throughout their lifecycle. You will manage the SAP SuccessFactors User Assistance program, creating and managing timelines and milestones, communicating those timelines across teams, and ensuring that deadlines are met. You will be responsible for defining, planning, tracking, and managing the projects, for identifying key resources, and for providing the direction you require to meet project objectives.

The Project Manager ensures adherence to project management methodology practices, provide team coaching, evaluate the performance of team members, and reinforce the enterprise knowledge management through the collection and communication of lessons learned. You will work closely with our customers, driving customer engagement activities for the User Assistance team and delivering the SAP SuccessFactors Product Roadmap. As part of the SAP SuccessFactors User Assistance team, you will also participate in defining innovative documentation concepts and deliverables.

Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager's agreement.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • 3 - 5 years of project management experience in project management using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project charters, project management plans, status reports, project timesheets, communications plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

  • University degree in Business Management, Project Manager, or comparable education or work experience
  • Expert-level knowledge of all MS Office tools, particularly MS Project and MS Excel
  • Achievement orientation, creative thinking and enthusiasm
  • Open-minded, strong in communication
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written English
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly
  • Proactive problem solving

Preferred skills

  • Understanding of SAP SuccessFactors software and processes a plus
  • Understanding of product documentation/user assistance a plus
  • Creative thinking

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of SAP's HCM SuccessFactors technologies
  • Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience developing project/program management leading practices, examples, and templates
